INTRODUCTION BY DR.TATIANA HEISE

Dr. Tatiana Heise is a lecturer in Latin American Studies at the University of Glasgow. She investigates cinemas in Brazil, Chile, Argentina that reconstructed memories of recent military dictatorships.

"IberoDocs is one of the cultural highlights of the year for me - a chance to keep up to date with the latest tendencies in Latin American/Iberian cinema and to see films that don’t usually get shown in the UK. It’s also a place where I can meet interesting people and take part in stimulating conversations. Everyone in IberoDocs is passionate about film and what goes on in Latin America and the Iberian world, and this makes for a wonderful atmosphere."
